I’ve been known to ride my bike (the variety with pedals) to work sometimes. The round trip is probably 40km but you’re getting some exercise done as well as saving money on transport! The worst part is probably dodging cars and making sure you get to work or home in one piece. The talk of the town at the moment is “GREEN”, do things to assist this environment instead of harm it. So more people are taking to the streets on their bikes but is there enough infrastructure to support all these people on bikes? I know in some countries people use bikes as their main form of transport. I’m not refering to undeveloped countries though, some countries just like Australia have a vast network of bike lanes. So why aren’t there more bike lanes in Sydney? Instead of relying on the council to get their act together some designer at Altitude Inc. has developed a virtual bike lane using lasers. What it does it shine lasers on the ground forming a bike lane so drivers can see and hopefully avoid collision.
